La Motte Wine Estate was awarded by PMR.africa with a Golden Arrow 2013 award as a Leader and Achiever in the Boland Regional Survey for Agriculture (wine estates) and has achieved a rating of Excellent. The ratings are based on the perceptions of respondents from a random regional sample of eighty people comprising of CEO’s, MD’s, business owners, company directors and managers and senior local government officials based in the Boland region.

La Motte CEO Hein Koegelenberg received the PMR Golden Arrow 2013 Award on behalf of the estate. The awards aim to award companies and institutions doing most in their sectors over the past 12 months to stimulate the economic growth and development of the Boland Region and they were rated against the following criteria:

• companies/institutions that have done most to enhance the economic growth and development of the Boland region over the past 12 months and who have demonstrated exceptional managerial and corporate governance qualities

• levels of managerial expertise,

• implementation of corporate governance

• brand awareness and

• levels of innovation.
