Sauvignon Blanc – so much more than an aperitif

Sauvignon Blanc is very popular for its refreshing qualities and while perceived as an aperitif-style wine, it does not mean it is one dimensional! You'll be surprised by its ability to mature as well as its versatility on the dinner table!

Can we actually keep Sauvignon Blanc for a year or two? Can we consider serving it with anything other than a green salad or seafood canapé?

As with all other varieties, the style in which the wine is made will answer the above questions. Some wines we drink while young and vibrant and others we mature to enjoy when its complexities have fully developed.

La Motte offers two styles of Sauvignon Blanc:

La Motte Sauvignon Blanc popular for being fruity and fresh, accessible and versatile. Click here to hear why you'll love it.

Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc, slightly more serious with cool climate minerality and exceptional maturation potential. Cellarmaster Edmund Terblanche explains why you should try the 2019 Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc. Click here.
