Farm Food with Flair
Expect farm food with flair – a delicious combination of nostalgic influences and modern inspirations. Directed by the season, Chef Eric Bulpitt’s menu changes regularly in celebration of the bounty of produce from the farm and the valley. Enjoy moreish and hearty plates, but with a chef’s touch.
Indulge your sweet tooth with a trip down memory lane - desserts and treats from a legacy of nostalgic sweets that charm and comfort.
La Motte wine recommendations for each dish as well as availability per glass ensure the ultimate food and wine pairing, while the drinks menu includes a delightful selection of local and international wines.

The La Motte Restaurant (usually open from Wednesday to Friday) will also be open on the following Tuesdays during the holidays:

With a passion for modern cuisine, acclaimed Chef Eric Bulpitt brings an innovative focus and modern interpretation to honest farm food.
Spending childhood holidays on his grandparent’s self-sustained farm, Eric developed a love for farm to table cooking, sharing La Motte’s principles when it comes to authentic Cape Winelands hospitality, local produce and sustainably sourced ingredients.
Today, he enjoys celebrating the flavours from the bigger South African food heritage, by employing inventive ways and modern interpretations. Guided by global standards and international quality expectations, Eric stays on top of trends and techniques.
Ardent about the experience of his guests, Chef Eric Bulpitt entertains both South African and international palates with his authentic flavours, skilful execution and love of food.
